New Delhi, April 26, 2016: Cougar Motorsport Pvt. Ltd., the organizers of the Force Gurkha RFC India, have announced Wockhardt Hospitals as the medical partner for the third edition of India’s toughest off-road motorsport event. This is the second consecutive year that Cuncolim-based NUSI Wockhardt Super Speciality Hospital will be joining forces with the organizers to ensure that proper medical facilities are in place throughout Force Gurkha RFC India 2016 that will be held in Goa from 22nd July to 29th July.
Force Gurkha RFC India is the India Chapter of the iconic Rainforest Challenge of Malaysia, which is counted among the top 10 toughest motor races in the world and has 25 editions worldwide. The event comprises of around 24 tasks, or Special Stages, in which the competing teams’ driving and vehicle recovery skills are tested under extreme off-road conditions. The levels of difficulty keep increasing as the challenge progresses. Therefore, it is imperative to have a competent partner to ensure adequate medical care for all the participants, including competitors, organizers and touring adventurers.
NUSI Wockhardt Super Sociality Hospital, which is a leading and preferred healthcare provider in Goa, handled the crucial task of providing medical assistance to the participants in the 2015 edition of the event in an extremely competent manner. Therefore, they have been selected as the medical partner for Force Gurkha RFC India 2016 as well. Apart from deploying a specialized medical team at the challenge locations, the hospital will provide a fully-equipped ambulance throughout the event in order to deal with medical contingencies.
Force Gurkha RFC India was launched in 2014 as India’s first international off-road motorsport event where the competing teams have to undergo a series of challenges over 8 days and the team with the maximum points at the end of all the tasks emerges as the winner. The event attracts attention of off-roaders and motorsport enthusiasts from across the country with competition entries coming from individuals, prominent off-road clubs and automobile manufacturers. This year, around 25 teams are expected to take part in the competition and the top Indian competitor of the event will be given an automatic free entry to the mother event which will be held in Malaysia at the end of the year.
