Michal Hernik of Poland was found dead on stage 3, which was confirmed by the doctor in search and rescue air-ambulance team.
The search began after his tracking signal went off, and didn't arrive at around expected 15:16 hrs and later the search began within minutes and his body was found about 300mtrs off the route expected to travel.

He was 39, and it was his first time at Dakar. He was 84th when he started the stage 3, yesteday. Michal had participated in Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge last year and Morocco Rally in 2013, both successfully.
