After a pause in the championship series of season 2012, when the second round was cancelled on the grounds of safety due to unwelcomed overnight downpour over stages. The third round of the INRC is held at the Chikmagalur in the coming weekend, on 24th-25th November, 2012. Rally of Chikmagalur is held in the picturesque land of Coffee & Spices, from the past few decades which is a big hit with the competitors & the federation.
As confirmed by the organisers, a total of 43 entries have been recorded on the closing day of last weekend. So the battle for the title is going to be intense, after the missing second round from the series.

The third round of Indian National Rally Championship was held at rural roads of Birur on 23rd November. Event went with much drama & action on the special stages, with more than half of the competing lot ending up retiring in the course of 6 special stages of the day.
Karna Kadur was leading for the initial few stages, but at the end of the rally it was Amittrajit Ghosh who came victorious with his aggressive attack on the later stages. Karna took to the second and Vikram Devadesan took the final podium in the INRC 2000cc class. Raghu Nandan took the 1600cc class first, Byram Godrej finished second & Aditya S on the final third podium place. Karan A M, Asad Khan & Aroor Vikram Rao, took to the podium in the JINRC category.A brief video of the event is below at your disposal. Enjoy!
