After the little more than a month long traditional mid-season break, WRC is going to be live in about a week's time. Of what we all already know that, it is going to be a 'duel' of events for both the top 2 teams [manufacturers], Citroen & Ford, with Mini just keeping its contractual promise to stay till one full season.Honestly, it sucks for such an iconic brand - a car [with such an immense history] to just be there and do nothing on competitive grounds! I, personally would request its parent company to just stay-away from the WRC, if this is going to be the case further seasons onwards!
However I hope, and it even looks very promising by the other German biggie car maker VW with its Polo R WRC program. Just waiting for it, BUT.. with the Ford's exile plan, and the PSA's cost-cutting plans, makes the next season pretty bleak! Also what if S.Loeb thinks of retirement.... 'HELL NO'! We all are waiting for the epic battle between the two Seb's in their perfect battle that is anticipated, and 'Like Heaven on Hell' it will be too... PSA/Citroen Racing, please stay put with Loeb for the next season and give us the entertainment we all are eagerly waiting for!Now coming 'Back from the Future' [talks], it will be interesting to watch the [kind of boring!] fight between the Citroen Racing's ace driver Seb and rest of the field! It also looks like he is going to snatch the 9th title, if he is not seriously challenged on the stages, really!! Ford's [now no.1] driver, Petter Solberg says he is all attack for the rest of the season to push towards the top spot on the Championship podium. Well, it is definitely going to be historic battle, if he keeps up to his statement... however, honestly, the chances are bleak!! I am a big fan of the oldies, Petter and Seb inclusive... so can't take either of the sides :) You know what I mean ;)
